Documented dog parks around Wilmington and Kure Beach
A dog park is a different facility from a park that merely permits dogs on leash. These operators document a dedicated dog-park area. Read the rules and closure notices before selecting a stop.

Read the operator’s rules
Age limits, vaccination requirements and behavior rules vary by facility. Empie’s published rules include restrictions on children entering the dog area. A dog-park listing is not a recommendation to combine young children and off-leash dogs in the same enclosure.
Check maintenance notices
Ogden’s county notice lists maintenance affecting the large-dog area in early October 2026. Temporary notices can change or expire. Consult the official source rather than treating a directory feature badge as proof that the enclosure is open.
Keep other park uses separate
A dog enclosure does not establish off-leash permission throughout the surrounding park. Follow signs and leash rules on paths, around playgrounds and when entering or leaving a dog area. Choose an outing suited to your dog’s needs and the current conditions.
